A long break, a short story …

I am back in UK, to my work place, after one month of travelling. If you are wondering what I did during this time, here is a short story. After a two weeks holiday in Maramures and Timisoara, Romania, I enjoyed some days in Keele, UK, for European Postgraduate Fluid Dynamics Conference, where I gave a talk about my research.

Two days after this conference, I had another trip in Cargese, Corsica (France) for “Dynamics in Soft Condensed Matter” conference – (Dynasoft08) at Institut d’Etudes Scientifiques de Cargese. I spent in Cargese two weeks, in a wonderfull place with its natural beauty.

What I can say, I had a great time in Corsica, once described as “That mountain in the sea”, or “The Island of Beauty”, with its contrasting colors.

I knew that Corsica is famed as the birthplace of Napoléon Bonaparte, that’s why I wanted to visit Ajaccio, the island’s capital and Napoleon’s birthplace.

I selected some interesting photos taken from my trip, and they will be available on my flickr page. There are a direct link here: Keele, Cargese, Ajaccio.
