1. Desktop computer:
As operating system I have installed OpenSUSE 10.3 running the free version of Vmware Server 1.4 with some virtual machines: FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, Centos. I use it for simulations, numerical programming and also as main station at home for internet, office, mail. I also test different software and operating systems.

2. Sony Vaio Notebook:
A great notebook, nice design, only 1.7 KG, enough power, memory and the battery is also very good. I have installed Windows Vista Business Edition but I run Vmware where I have FreeBSD and OpenSUSE installed. This is my “everything else” computer. I do my code, my web browsing, my email. I use KDE as my prefered desktop on FreeBSD in Vmware.
